Plastics

Most activities of Ravago are dealing with plastics as their primary product. Covering the most comprehensive portfolio of commodities and engineering thermoplastics, color masterbatches and additives, custom compounds and eco-friendly bioplastics, Ravago offers the one-stop-shop model to its customers across the globe. The reselling of commoditized plastics, such as polypropylene and polyethylene, goes hand in hand with the distribution of technical products, such as nylon and thermoplastic elastomers.

The commercialization of different products implies different customer needs: Ravago combines the ability to handle large volumes with the in-house technical expertise necessary for developing new product applications. Our customer base in the plastics field ranges from film and injection molders to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) in the automotive and E&E industry.

Ravago can be considered as the world’s largest service provider to the petrochemical industry, collaborating with key suppliers in the spirit of a long-term partnership: distributing producer branded prime products, reselling wide-specification or off grade resin, and manufacturing our own compounds are all core competences that we offer to the market. In chemicals Ravago offers a comprehensive product portfolio of basic raw materials and specialties for a wide range of applications, such as Asphalt, Coating & Construction, Care Chemicals (home care, industrial cleaning, institutional cleaning, personal care), Polymer processing and manufacturing, Water Treatment, Life Sciences (food, feed, pharma), Agriculture, Paper & Cardboard and Oil & Lubricants.

Rubbers

Ravago’s commitment to provide a key service to the plastics market is complemented by strategic investment and growth in the global rubber industry.

Ravago is the largest reseller, distributor and recycler of rubber raw materials with an extensive portfolio encompassing elastomeric materials and synthetic & natural rubbers. We use our broad product range, deep market penetration, financial strength and our in-house hedging expertise to thrive in a financially volatile environment. This is to the benefit of our rubber customers, who range from large players in the tire industry to end-converters serving diverse applications in the automotive industry, building & construction, and other sectors.

With a corporate history of expansion from a Belgian scrap recycling activity to development of commercial channels to sell prime and “off spec” material in a market with relatively few players, and with the rubber industry shifting towards emerging economies, Ravago is committed to investment and growth in this exciting sphere in order to secure future success.

Building materials

Ravago Building Solutions (RBS) has its own manufacturing facilities in insulation (XPS & mineral wool), waterproofing (bituminous membranes, liquid emulsions), metal profiles for dry construction and foil & packaging.

RBS is the leading manufacturer in Europe of XPS insulation materials offering a fully comprehensive portfolio tailored to building and industrial applications. With 11 plants spread all over Europe, we can offer proximity to our customer base. In addition, we are the leading mineral wool producer in Turkey offering stonewool, biowool, ceramic fiber and mineral wool for agriculture applications. With ongoing investments in Greece and Hungary we are further strengthening our position in the mineral wool insulation across Europe.

In waterproofing, we offer bitumen membranes from our factory in Turkey and liquid bitumen solutions from our factory in Greece. In Greece we manufacture metal profiles and accessories to complement our distribution portfolio in dry construction building materials. Finally, we offer building foil and packaging solutions from our Belgian manufacturing sites.
